SpaceX is seeking a Senior 3GPP RAN Integration Engineer to lead technical contributions within the 3GPP Radio Access Network working groups. You'll work on 5G and 6G standards, requiring deep expertise in RAN technologies.
You have extensive experience in radio access network technologies, particularly within the 3GPP framework. Your technical expertise allows you to navigate complex discussions and advocate for the company's interests in international standards settings. You possess strong diplomatic skills, enabling you to build relationships with various stakeholders, including operators and chipset vendors. Your analytical skills are top-notch, allowing you to provide detailed technical analysis on topics such as PHY/MAC/RRC enhancements and coexistence studies. You are comfortable drafting and submitting technical contributions that influence the evolution of standards in the telecommunications industry.
Experience with NTN (Non-Terrestrial Networks) and a solid understanding of spectrum evolution will set you apart. Familiarity with the latest advancements in 5G and 6G technologies is highly desirable, as is a background in regulatory compliance and standards development.
In this role, you will serve as the primary delegate for SpaceX in relevant 3GPP RAN Working Groups, including RAN1, RAN2, RAN3, RAN4, and RAN5. You will actively participate in meetings, presenting and negotiating company contributions to ensure alignment with product and regulatory goals. Your responsibilities will include drafting, reviewing, and submitting technical contributions on critical topics such as 5G NR, RAN architecture, and performance evaluation. You will also be tasked with building and maintaining relationships with other 3GPP members and regulatory bodies, ensuring that SpaceX's technical interests are well-represented.
