Principal Engineer, RCS for Business, Platforms and Devices

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent practical experience, along with 15 years of experience in engineering. Your background includes significant experience with mobile, voice, and messaging networks, as well as systems engineering or operations. You excel at communicating and translating technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, ensuring clarity and understanding across teams.

In your previous roles, you've held a technical leadership position for at least 7 years, where you were responsible for multiple technical areas and setting the technical direction for your team. You have a proven track record of rapidly scaling platforms and teams, and you understand the intricacies of building enterprise products and fostering a developer ecosystem. Your experience with carrier-based messaging technologies and products, particularly in SMS, MMS, RCS, RBM, and messaging security, sets you apart as a recognized technical subject matter expert.

You thrive in environments where you can manage multiple complex assignments simultaneously, working effectively with geographically dispersed, cross-functional teams. Your ability to instill a culture of technical excellence and build trust both internally and externally is a testament to your leadership style, characterized by humility and empathy.

Experience in the mobile industry's ecosystem, products, and services is a plus, especially with a focus on conversational commerce powered by RCS Messaging. You are passionate about creating immersive experiences with interactive, rich media messages that engage customers directly in their native messaging apps on both Android and iOS devices.

What you'll do

As a Principal Engineer at Google, you will lead the RCS for Business team, driving technical innovation and excellence in messaging systems.
