You have a strong background in firmware development, with experience in designing and implementing low-level systems that support complex hardware architectures. Your expertise in C and C++ allows you to write efficient and reliable code that interacts directly with hardware components. You are familiar with Embedded Linux and understand the intricacies of developing firmware for telemetry systems and platform initialization. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions. Your problem-solving skills enable you to tackle challenges in firmware design and implementation effectively.

Desirable

Experience with Azure infrastructure or similar cloud platforms is a plus. Familiarity with board support packages and inter-core messaging services will help you excel in this role. You are also open to learning new technologies and adapting to the evolving needs of the team.

What you'll do

As a Firmware Engineer at Microsoft, you will be responsible for developing firmware that powers Azure's custom silicon programs. This includes designing and implementing low-level inter-core messaging services and supporting various interfaces such as I3C and I2C. You will collaborate closely with hardware engineers to ensure seamless integration between firmware and hardware components. Your role will involve writing and maintaining documentation for firmware specifications and design processes, ensuring that all stakeholders have access to the necessary information.
