Overview

Carvana is seeking an Associate General Manager for Logistics to oversee multiple managers and ensure efficient operations at their Bessemer location. This role requires strong leadership and operational management skills.

Who you are

You have a proven track record in operations management, ideally with experience overseeing logistics or field operations. Your leadership style emphasizes collaboration and accountability, and you are skilled at mentoring and developing teams to achieve their best performance. You understand the importance of aligning site-specific goals with broader company objectives, ensuring that all team members are working towards common targets. You are adept at analyzing business performance metrics and using data to drive decision-making and process improvements. Your ability to communicate effectively with cross-functional teams allows you to coordinate efforts and optimize resource allocation efficiently.

Desirable

Experience in the logistics or transportation industry is a plus, as is familiarity with regulatory compliance and performance standards. You are comfortable with financial reporting and can prepare presentations for business leaders that clearly convey operational insights and recommendations. Your background may include experience with process improvement initiatives, demonstrating your capability to implement changes that enhance productivity and efficiency.

What you'll do

In this role, you will assist the General Manager in ensuring that day-to-day operations run smoothly and effectively. You will work closely with other company leaders to develop and execute site-specific goals and objectives, ensuring that all initiatives align with the overall strategy of the organization. Your responsibilities will include monitoring adherence to policies and procedures, as well as performance standards, taking appropriate actions to ensure compliance.
