Job Description

Project Kuiper is Amazon’s low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. Its mission is to deliver fast, reliable internet to customers and communities around the world, and we’ve designed the system with the capacity, flexibility, and performance to serve a wide range of customers, from individual households to schools, hospitals, businesses, government agencies, and other organizations operating in locations without reliable connectivity.

Export Control Requirement: Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.

The Kuiper team is looking for motivated, customer-focused individuals who want to join our team as a Sr. Manager, leading Kuiper Fullfullment. This role will be responsible for all technology investment, budgetary, people development and operations objectives for their warehouse space. The Fullfilment Leader will be responsible for direct leadership of warehouse area managers, who themselves are responsible for managing hourly associates, as well as program managers (tech and non-tech) to ensure the success of their operation. This Manager’s scope will span multiple facilities and/or multiple process paths, including material receipt, inspection, stowing, picking, kitting, and inventory quality. This leader will also focus on enabling speed, efficiency and productivity by applying robotics and automation to their process paths. You will blend your technical skills and your leadership acumen to ensure our warehouse systems and people work seamlessly to accomplish our daily, weekly and monthly business objectives.

Key job responsibilities
-Support, mentor, and motivate your salaried and hourly workforce
-Oversee daily execution of multiple warehouse operations to deliver daily requirements with a focus on safety and quality
-Manage, grow and develop a team of high-performing area managers, promoting a culture of inclusion, innovation and performance
-Lead large-scope technical operations projects, including implementing critical business initiatives across multiple sites
-Evaluate process metrics/KPIs across sites to identify improvement initiatives from incoming material receipt to delivery to factory floor
-Manage safety, quality, productivity, and customer delivery promises
-Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Quality, Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
-Collaborate with Amazon engineering (hardware and software) teams to implement robotics solutions in your space

A day in the life
You lead and develop multiple operations teams while architecting the long-term strategic vision for Kuiper Fulfillment, including automation roadmap and network optimization. You drive transformational changes across the organization by identifying opportunities for innovation, process improvement, and technological advancement.

You establish and own key performance metrics across safety, quality, productivity, and customer experience, developing data-driven strategies that scale operations efficiently while maintaining operational excellence. You build and implement sophisticated forecasting models and capacity planning frameworks that optimize resource allocation across the network.

You demonstrate exceptional business acumen by developing comprehensive business cases for major capital investments, automation projects, and strategic initiatives. You influence senior leadership through compelling narratives supported by rigorous analysis and clear ROI frameworks.

You build and mentor high-performing teams, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement. You develop and execute talent strategies that attract, retain, and grow future leaders while maintaining strong succession planning.

You lead complex, cross-functional programs spanning multiple sites and business units, effectively managing stakeholder relationships at all levels of the organization. You translate strategic objectives into actionable plans, ensuring alignment across operations, engineering, finance, and technology teams.

You drive the end-to-end automation strategy, identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies while balancing operational efficiency with capital investment. You own the technical roadmap for fulfillment operations, partnering with engineering teams to develop and implement innovative solutions that scale with business growth.

- 7+ years of team management experience
- 5+ years of supply chain experience, or Bachelor's degree
- Experience managing teams- Experience implementing repeatable processes and driving automation or standardization
- MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $141,400/year in our lowest geographic market up to $233,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
