Microsoft is seeking a Principal Data Scientist for their CoreAI team to drive data insights and product growth. You'll leverage AI and data analysis to support strategic decisions and mentor other data professionals. This role requires a strong background in Python and machine learning.
At CoreAI, we empower developers and organizations to shape the future with Artificial Intelligence (AI). Our Growth and Data Science team spans both Microsoft’s Developer Division and AI Foundry. We accelerate CoreAI’s mission by delivering insights, reporting, models, and tools that guide product strategy and unlock growth across our developer ecosystem.
We’re looking for a Principal Data Scientist - CoreAI with a track record of cross-team partnership, effective communication with engineering, executive leadership and sales, the ability to translate product questions into targeted data science investigations, and the ability to independently identify/execute/automate insightful analysis that improves Microsoft’s developer-focused AI suite and drives product growth.

Data Science IC5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $139,900 - $274,800 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $188,000 - $304,200 per year.
