Databricks is hiring a Staff Security Software Engineer to enhance security systems and data pipelines. You'll work with Python, Git, and cloud platforms like AWS and Azure. This role requires 8+ years of software engineering experience, with a focus on security.
You have 8+ years of software engineering experience, with at least 4 years specifically in security-related engineering. Your background includes building large-scale distributed systems, emphasizing reliability and observability. You are proficient in Python and have experience with Git and GitHub, as well as CI/CD automation. Your expertise extends to Terraform, and you have secured at least one major cloud environment such as AWS, Azure, or GCP. You understand software security principles and have a passion for enhancing security measures in software development.
Experience with security threat detection and vulnerability management is a plus. Familiarity with integrating third-party applications and cloud APIs will help you excel in this role. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve security objectives.
As a Staff Security Software Engineer at Databricks, you will be a key member of the Security Continuous Monitoring team. Your primary responsibility will be to design, test, and implement data pipelines that assess security configurations across various environments, including Cloud, SaaS, and on-premise tooling. You will lead projects that support data collection and integration with vulnerability and threat detection efforts, ensuring that security measures are robust and effective.
You will also design and deploy supporting security tools to manage and assess the security state of our systems. This includes integrating with third-party applications and interacting with cloud APIs, such as those from AWS, Azure, and GCP. Your role will require you to plan and execute end-to-end projects, collaborating closely with other engineers and stakeholders to enhance our security posture.
