Senior Software Development Manager, Security and Intel

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience, along with 8 years of experience in software development. With at least 7 years of experience building software for security, including application security, malware analysis, and threat intelligence, you bring a wealth of knowledge to the table. Your 5 years in a technical leadership role and experience in people management or team leadership demonstrate your ability to guide and inspire teams. A Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or a related technical field is preferred, along with experience in complex, matrixed organizations. You have a strong background in designing, managing, or contributing to systems for threat detection or anomaly analysis, and you are familiar with applying Machine Learning or AI to solve security problems. Your knowledge of web security, Ads ecosystems, and adversarial tactics related to content abuse, cloaking, or malware distribution positions you as a key player in the security domain.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Development Manager at Google, you will lead a team of engineers in developing innovative security solutions that integrate seamlessly into Google's products. You will partner with product teams to embed proactive security measures into various platforms, ensuring that legitimate advertisers face minimal friction while maximizing disruption for bad actors. Your role will involve leveraging Google's infrastructure and machine learning capabilities to build highly-available, fault-tolerant software services for threat intelligence, detection, and mitigation.
