Overview

Google is seeking a Customer Engineer II for their Platform team to facilitate the adoption of Google Cloud products. You'll leverage your expertise in cloud engineering and customer relationships to deliver tailored solutions. This role requires 6 years of experience in cloud native architecture and related technologies.

Job Description

Who you are

You have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience and at least 6 years of experience with cloud native architecture in a customer-facing or support role. Your background includes cloud engineering, on-premise engineering, virtualization, or containerization platforms. You are familiar with security concepts such as encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, and penetration testing. You thrive in building and maintaining customer relationships from scratch, and you are excited about developing Greenfield territories. You understand the importance of listening to customers and delivering solutions that enhance their productivity and collaboration.

Desirable

Experience in migrating applications and services to cloud platforms is a plus. You have a knack for problem-solving key technical issues and enjoy collaborating with sales teams to differentiate Google Cloud offerings. Your ability to engage with prospective and existing customers and partners to understand their business challenges is essential for success in this role.

What you'll do

As a Customer Engineer II at Google Cloud, you will partner with technical sales teams to facilitate the adoption of Google Cloud products. You will assist educational institutions, government agencies, and businesses in making their work more productive and mobile. Your role involves developing creative cloud solutions and architectures to solve customer business issues, engaging in proofs of concepts, and recommending integration strategies and enterprise architectures. You will lead the prospecting and acquisition of new customers, establishing yourself as a trusted advisor on their long-term technology and business decisions. You will also liaise with product marketing management and engineering teams to stay updated on industry trends and devise enhancements to Google Cloud products.
