Overview

Amazon is hiring an Associate Corporate Counsel to provide legal advisory in the payments business. You'll work on privacy and data protection requirements, technology law, and compliance issues. This role requires 3-5 years of post-qualification experience.

You are a qualified attorney with 3-5 years of experience in corporate law, particularly in the areas of data privacy and technology law. You have a strong understanding of regulatory compliance and are adept at providing legal advisory to cross-functional teams. Your excellent written and oral communication skills enable you to interact effectively with business owners and stakeholders. You thrive in collaborative environments and are committed to achieving operational excellence through legal guidance.

You have experience drafting and negotiating contracts, and you are familiar with corporate secretarial compliance. Your project management skills allow you to coordinate various ongoing privacy initiatives, ensuring alignment with global teams and internal stakeholders. You are detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable

Experience in the payments industry or with multinational corporations is a plus. Familiarity with data sharing agreements and privacy arrangements will enhance your candidacy. You are proactive in identifying legal risks and providing solutions that align with business objectives.

What you'll do

As an Associate Corporate Counsel at Amazon, you will provide ongoing legal counseling on a wide range of issues, including data privacy, technology law, and regulatory compliance.
