Job Description

The App Store is the world's safest and most vibrant app marketplace, serving more than 700 million visitors each week. It has enabled countless new companies, spawned new industries, and created millions of jobs. A significant driver of the global economy, the App Store facilitates over $1 trillion in developer billings and sales annually, rewarding developers and entrepreneurs for their hard work and creativity. And we believe we’re just getting started! We are seeking a hardworking, data driven and results-oriented individual to join the Apps Business Development Team for the App Store. In this role, you will use your industry experience, critical-thinking skills and deep interest in technology to help app developers grow their businesses on the App Store.

Description

You will build and maintain close relationships with top app partners, as well as help existing partners grow their business on the App Store by providing data driven actionable business guidance, identifying new business opportunities, and adoption of new technologies. You will advocate for developer-centric platform improvements based on developer feedback, market research and internal analysis. You will also work with internal teams (product, marketing, legal, analytics) to gain support for business initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

5+ years in business development, partnership management, or product management, possessing a deep understanding of the App Store and mobile app ecosystem. Proven ability to navigate app store features, global business models, and platform policies. Expertise in full-funnel app optimization, including user acquisition, monetization strategies, and subscription/hybrid business models.

Preferred Qualifications

Passion for the social networking and creator ecosystem, with a strong understanding of in-app creator monetization. Strong project and program management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize workloads, and adhere to tight deadlines while maintaining exceptional attention to detail. Integrity, a sense of humor, and excellent interpersonal skills. A strong desire to learn and succeed. BS degree or equivalent experience, JD or MS/MBA a plus.

Responsibilities

Manage a portfolio of developers in the social networking and creators ecosystems, helping them to identify growth opportunities and enhance business on the App Store. Build and maintain strong relationships with developers, understanding their goals, challenges, and feature requests and representing the App Store’s policies and positions. Identify and develop new opportunities in determined categories that inform and influence roadmaps; collaborating with cross-functional teams across product, editorial, marketing, commerce engineering, and legal on implementation Program or project manage category specific initiatives. Create and deliver business reviews to developer audiences of all levels, to provide insights, best practices, and pitch new features.
