Job Description

Amazon’s European Transportation team is responsible for our transportation network’s connectivity across Europe to deliver billions of shipments each year. We collaborate with multiple internal teams (e.g. Transportation Design, Supply Chain, External Fulfillment, Tech, etc) to ensure a speedy and reliable customer delivery in the cheapest way possible.
As a Transportation Program Manager, you will be part of the Operations team owning the setup of the systems that decide how shipments move in the Amazon outbound network. You will act as a bridge between business, network design and tech teams to ensure transportation systems are set up in line with the strategic transportation network plan.
You will develop strong knowledge of Amazon Transportation systems and you will be responsible for understanding your customers’ business needs and providing optimal system solutions. Managing a wide range of stakeholders, you will plan, communicate and execute the day to day implementation of network changes in such systems, ensuring that they are set with the correct parameters. Acting as a subject-matter expert, you will apply dive deep and analytical skills to find the root cause of daily issues and solve them, while driving long term standardization and automation initiatives to improve systems and team efficiency.

The position is based in Luxembourg.

Key job responsibilities
• Create and manage the framework supporting Amazon transportation network for External Fulfillment
• Work with business and tech teams to define how to implement network change requests to ensure transportation systems are set up in line with the strategic transportation network plan
• Support network’s day-to-day configuration operations, optimization and expansion. Plan, communicate and execute the implementation of network changes in Amazon systems, ensuring that they are set with the correct parameters
• Deep dive into data and issues to drive short term fixes and long-term improvements
• Deliver results through extensive cross functional integration with multiple internal teams
• Drive long term standardization and automation initiatives to improve systems and team efficiency
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and be the single point of contact for requests and issues of a specific region

A day in the life
This position combines tactical and strategic responsibilities. The job is fast paced, dynamic, and requires you to be able to flawlessly execute daily/weekly activities as well as stepping up to lead ambiguous programs.
You collaborate daily with stakeholders across multiple Organizations to discuss network changes, using your system and logistic knowledge to help them understand what is feasible and developing an implementation plan. You then translate such change requests into network configurations, which you deploy and audit using multiple UIs and tools, according to the agreed SLAs. You act as main POC for a specific market/region, deep diving issues and leading system standardization initiatives. Working with your team and internal partners, you invent and develop system and process improvements that deliver new business value, improve CX, and increase team productivity, speed, and quality.- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- Experience in program or project management
- Experience with Excel
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Relevant experience in analyzing quantitative data effectively to drive decisions- Knowledge of SQL
- Experience in a highly analytical, results-oriented environment with cross functional interactions
