Software Engineer - Regulatory & Sovereign Cloud

We're looking for a motivated and versatile engineer to join our RSC (Regulatory & Sovereign Cloud) team. This team is at the forefront of building Snowflake strength in areas that meet the most stringent data sovereignty, compliance, and regulatory requirements globally. As a member of our team, you'll work on projects that directly impact government and highly regulated markets, helping to secure and scale our platform. You'll gain broad exposure to diverse technologies and solve complex, multi-faceted problems.

What you'll do:

• Design, implement, and maintain core services that support our sovereign and regulatory cloud platform.

• Develop automation tools to improve the efficiency, reliability, and security of our systems and ensure compliance with strict governance standards.

• Collaborate with other engineering teams to understand their needs and challenges, and eventually support them in meeting all specific requirements.

• Contribute to the full development lifecycle, from initial design and planning to deployment, monitoring, and support in a regulated environment.

• Debug and troubleshoot complex issues across various layers of our stack, with a focus on auditability and security.

What you'll need:

• Solid understanding of at least one programming language (Go and Python are preferred).

• Familiarity with public cloud platforms, Kubernetes, and container technologies

• Knowledge of infrastructure as code (IaC).

• An eagerness to learn new technologies and work autonomously on challenging problems.

• Strong collaboration skills and ability to work closely with teams across product management, infrastructure, and security to gather requirements and deliver robust solutions.

• Nice to have: Experience in regulated industries or with compliance standards
