GitLab is seeking a Strategic Account Executive to manage a portfolio of strategic customers in Germany. You'll help clients maximize the value of GitLab’s AI-powered DevSecOps platform. This role requires strong sales skills and experience in enterprise account management.
You have a proven track record in sales, particularly in managing strategic accounts — you've successfully navigated complex sales cycles and built lasting relationships with enterprise clients. Your experience in the tech industry, especially with software solutions, gives you a strong foundation to understand customer needs and drive value. You are comfortable working with AI-powered platforms and can articulate their benefits to potential clients. You thrive in a remote work environment, demonstrating self-motivation and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
Experience in DevSecOps or related fields is a plus — you understand the challenges organizations face in software development and can position GitLab’s solutions effectively. Familiarity with sales methodologies and CRM tools will help you excel in this role. You are adaptable and open to learning, eager to stay updated on industry trends and product developments.
As a Strategic Account Executive, you will own a portfolio of large customers in the South of Germany — your primary goal is to help them derive maximum value from GitLab’s platform. You will identify new business opportunities within existing accounts and work to expand GitLab’s footprint in the enterprise market. Your role involves engaging with stakeholders at various levels, understanding their challenges, and providing tailored solutions that meet their needs. You will collaborate closely with the product and engineering teams to ensure customer feedback is integrated into product development.
You will also be responsible for developing and executing strategic account plans — this includes setting clear objectives, tracking progress, and adjusting strategies as necessary to achieve sales targets. Regularly reporting on sales activities and outcomes will be part of your responsibilities, ensuring transparency and alignment with company goals. You will participate in industry events and networking opportunities to promote GitLab and establish connections with potential clients.
