Software Engineer - Backend, Pricing (Senior level or Higher)

What you'll do

As a Senior Backend Engineer on the Pricing team, you will own the design, implementation, and evolution of core pricing services that are critical to Opendoor's business. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to turn ideas into resilient, production-ready systems that can handle high volumes of data and transactions.

You will design data models and write high-performance SQL queries over large PostgreSQL datasets, ensuring that our pricing algorithms are both accurate and efficient. Your role will involve architecting and improving APIs and integrations with Opendoor’s core marketplace platform, enhancing the overall functionality and user experience.

You will lead technical design reviews, setting best practices for code quality, testing, and observability, while driving reliability, latency, and scalability improvements across pricing systems.
