SpaceX is hiring an Integration & Test Engineer for the Dragon 2 spacecraft. You'll be responsible for vehicle integration and testing, requiring knowledge of vehicle design and operations. This role demands strong engineering intuition and critical thinking.
You have a solid background in engineering, particularly in integration and testing, with a focus on spacecraft systems. You possess a working knowledge of overall vehicle design, schematics, operations, and manufacturing processes. Your critical thinking skills allow you to navigate ambiguous requirements with minimal oversight, and you thrive in collaborative environments where you interface with both engineers and technicians. You are comfortable tackling new inter-departmental development projects and have a passion for space exploration.
Experience with spacecraft systems or aerospace engineering is a plus. Familiarity with automation and manufacturing assembly procedures will enhance your ability to contribute effectively to the team.
As an Integration & Test Engineer, you will design high-level vehicle assembly architecture and manage the vehicle integration build flow and test operations. You will evaluate proposed designs for manufacturability and integration, ensuring that the Dragon 2 spacecraft interfaces successfully with the International Space Station. Your role will involve developing and refining manufacturing assembly procedures based on lessons learned from previous projects. You will collaborate closely with various teams to optimize manufacturing and automation processes, ensuring that all systems work seamlessly together.
