What you'll do

As a Systems & Controls Accountant at Canonical, you will be responsible for driving best practices in financial systems and processes. You will work closely with various teams to align product pricing, contracting, and sales processes with accounting standards. Your role will involve building scalable processes that are automated through correct implementations in NetSuite and Salesforce. You will ensure that the accounting treatment of contracts and products is straightforward and correct, with a focus on achieving a high level of automation.

You will collaborate with product management, legal, FP&A, and sales operations to ensure that all financial practices are aligned and compliant with industry standards. Your expertise in NetSuite will be crucial as you lead initiatives to enhance the efficiency of financial reporting and revenue recognition. You will also be tasked with identifying areas for improvement within existing processes and implementing solutions that drive speed and accuracy in reporting.
