Job Description

Amazon Lab126 is an inventive research and development company that designs and engineers high-profile consumer electronics. Lab126 began in 2004 as a subsidiary of Amazon.com, Inc., originally creating the best-selling Kindle family of products. Since then, we have produced devices like Fire tablets, Fire TV and Amazon Echo.

Key job responsibilities
- The Operations Program Specialist (OPS) will support the Operations Accessories team through the new product introduction (NPI) engineering phases process and sustaining phases.
- OPS will work closely with the Lead core team members included but not limited to the Operation Program Managers and Project managers.
- OPS will be part of the core team that work with External Partners or CMs that will design and build our Accessories and Companion Devices.
- You will be responsible for managing project documentation including, but not limited to, Bills of Materials (BOM) and it is required to generate all the engineering change orders to keep the BOM up to date and stakeholders approvers into our PLM systems ( Agile/Townsend) .
- As the OPS you will also be part of the coordination of different build matrix configuration for evaluation of the components in the BOMs, different sets of tooling parts and components management materials ready for engineering builds.
- You will manage consolidation of the BOMs; Clear to build readiness and interface with teams to coordinate costed BOMs, allocation samples and XVTs budgets.
- You will have the experience working with internal and external CMs for the coordination of material availability and escalations as needed.

A day in the life
The Operations Project Specialist (OPS) will work closely with the Technical Program Managers (TPMs), Operations Program Managers (OPMs), Engineering Project Specialists (EPSs), Retail Engineering Program Manager (EPM), PPS (Packaging Program Managers) and the Core Engineering teams during the New Product Introduction process for Core Accessories programs. The OPS manages consolidation of all project documentation including, but not limited to, (BOM) Bills of Materials and generation of the engineering change orders at the Assy and Sell able skus (final packaging stage) in our PLM Systems.

About the team
We are a team that enhances the user experience to our customers using Devices like Echo, Kindle, tablets and Fire TV. We offer them the options to extend functionality, protect and enhance the look and feel of our devices with a variety of choices to delight our customers.- 4+ years of program or project management experience
- 4+ years of defining and implementing process improvement initiatives using data and metrics experience
- Knowledge of Excel (Pivot Tables, VLookUps) at an advanced level and SQL
- Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
- Experience working cross functionally with tech and non-tech teams
- Experience using PLM data system like Agile, Teamform or similar that consolidate Bill of Materials or component and design instructions.- 3+ years of driving end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership experience
- 3+ years of driving process improvements experience
- Experience in stakeholder management, dealing with multiple stakeholders at varied levels of the organization
- Experience building processes, project management, and schedules

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $66,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $142,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered, equity, sign-on payments, and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package, in addition to a full range of medical, financial, and/or other benefits.
