Who you are

You have extensive experience in mechanical engineering, particularly in propulsion systems, and have a proven track record of leading complex engineering projects. Your expertise in high-thrust engine design and development is complemented by your ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to diverse stakeholders. You are adept at aligning engineering execution with strategic objectives, ensuring that all technical aspects of a project are coherent and integrated. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and innovation, encouraging your team to excel while maintaining a focus on safety and performance. You are familiar with cryogenic propulsion systems and have hands-on experience with LOX/LCH4 technologies, which positions you well to guide the Storm program effectively.

Desirable

Experience with modular and reusable space vehicles is a plus, as is familiarity with the latest advancements in rocket engine technology. You have a strong understanding of system-level integrity and mission success criteria, which will be crucial in your role as the technical authority for the Storm program. Your ability to mentor and develop engineering talent will also be beneficial as you work closely with the Storm Lead and Head of Propulsion.

What you'll do

As the High-Thrust Engine Chief Engineer, you will define and communicate the technical vision and roadmap for the Storm propulsion system, ensuring alignment with the company's strategic goals. You will take ownership of the system architecture, guiding the engineering team in the design and performance standards necessary for mission success. Your role will involve overseeing the entire lifecycle of the engine development, from initial architecture definition to prototype testing, ensuring that all technical aspects are executed with excellence. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to maintain technical coherence across all domains, balancing engineering excellence with delivery efficiency. Your leadership will be pivotal in setting the direction for the Storm program, and you will be responsible for ensuring that the engine meets all safety and performance requirements throughout its lifecycle.
