Checkr is seeking a Senior Accountant to play a critical role in scaling processes and driving improvements in financial reporting. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in accounting and a CPA qualification is strongly preferred.
You have a Bachelor's degree in accounting and ideally hold a CPA qualification. With over 4 years of accounting-related work experience, particularly in a Big 4 accounting environment, you are well-versed in US GAAP and have a strong understanding of financial reporting processes. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are eager to contribute to continuous process improvements within the accounting team.
As a Senior Accountant at Checkr, you will assist with the month-end close and consolidation processes, ensuring that all financial records are accurate and compliant with US GAAP. You will evaluate and adopt accounting standard updates, documenting your conclusions around complex accounting areas. Your role will also involve overseeing continuous process improvement projects and performing financial statement analysis, communicating your findings to finance management. Additionally, you will assist in managing annual financial audits and preparing monthly and quarterly reports for board meetings.
