Job Description
Who you are
You have a strong background in site reliability engineering, with at least 3 years of experience managing production systems and ensuring their availability and performance. You are proficient in cloud services, particularly AWS, and have hands-on experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools such as Kubernetes. Your expertise in Linux systems allows you to troubleshoot and optimize performance effectively. You understand the importance of monitoring and alerting, utilizing tools like Prometheus to maintain system health and reliability. You are a proactive problem solver who enjoys collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement best practices in site reliability. You are comfortable with change management and capacity planning, ensuring that systems can scale efficiently as demand grows.
Desirable
Experience with infrastructure as code tools and CI/CD pipelines is a plus. Familiarity with incident management processes and tools will help you excel in this role. You are also encouraged to bring any experience with data processing systems or APIs, as this will enhance your contributions to the Behavox platform.
What you'll do
In this role, you will be responsible for the overall reliability and performance of the Behavox platform, which processes massive volumes of data. You will work closely with DevOps, Product, and Engineering teams to design and implement site reliability practices that enhance system availability and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include monitoring system performance, managing incidents, and responding to emergencies to minimize downtime. You will also engage in capacity planning to ensure that the platform can handle increasing loads effectively. As part of your role, you will contribute to the development of best practices for change management, ensuring that updates and changes to the system are executed smoothly and without disruption. You will have the opportunity to mentor junior team members and share your knowledge of site reliability engineering principles.
