Overview

Postman is seeking a Global Head of Account Development to lead their worldwide Account Development organization. You'll be responsible for generating high-quality sales opportunities and managing a global team. This role requires extensive experience in sales leadership.

Who you are

You have a proven track record of building and leading successful sales teams, with a focus on account development and pipeline generation. Your experience spans multiple geographies and industries, allowing you to understand diverse buyer personas and adapt strategies accordingly. You are a strategic thinker who can collaborate effectively with Sales, Marketing, and Product teams to create scalable processes that drive growth.

You possess strong leadership skills, having managed teams of varying sizes and cultures. You are adept at mentoring and developing talent, ensuring that your team members are equipped to succeed in their roles. Your communication skills are exceptional, enabling you to articulate the vision and goals of the organization clearly to both internal stakeholders and external partners.

You are data-driven, using analytics to inform decision-making and measure the success of your initiatives. You understand the importance of aligning sales strategies with overall business objectives and are comfortable presenting insights to executive leadership. Your ability to foster a collaborative environment encourages innovation and accountability within your team.

Desirable

Experience in the API or technology sector is a plus, as is familiarity with product-led growth strategies. You may have a background in working with cross-functional teams to enhance customer engagement and drive revenue.

What you'll do

As the Global Head of Account Development, you will be responsible for building and leading a high-performing team focused on generating sales-ready opportunities. You will develop and implement strategies for both inbound and outbound pipeline generation, ensuring alignment with the company's growth objectives. Your role will involve collaborating closely with the Chief Revenue Officer and other senior leaders to refine the sales process and enhance the effectiveness of the Account Development Representatives (ADRs) and Sales Development Representatives (SDRs).

You will oversee the training and development of your team, providing guidance and support to help them achieve their targets. Regular performance reviews and feedback sessions will be part of your approach to fostering a culture of continuous improvement. You will also analyze market trends and customer feedback to adapt strategies and ensure that your team remains competitive in a rapidly evolving landscape.

Your responsibilities will include setting clear goals and KPIs for the team, monitoring performance, and adjusting tactics as necessary to meet or exceed targets. You will be expected to report on progress to the executive team, providing insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
