Formlabs is seeking an Assembler to help build the next generation of 3D printers. You'll work hands-on with prototype printers and tools, requiring skills in using various hand tools. This is an entry-level position based in Boston.
You are someone who enjoys working with your hands and is eager to learn new skills in a collaborative environment. You have a keen eye for detail and take pride in the accuracy of your work. You thrive in a hands-on role and are excited about contributing to the development of cutting-edge technology. You understand the importance of maintaining a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that your work area is conducive to productivity. You are comfortable using various hand tools, such as pliers, rulers, cutters, torque wrenches, and screwdrivers, and you are ready to tackle the challenges that come with assembling complex systems.
In this role, you will assist in assembling prototypes of the next generation of 3D printers, fixtures, and accessory equipment. You will follow specific procedures to assemble and pack out products, ensuring that each component meets the required standards. You will be responsible for verifying the condition of materials before assembly and reporting any issues that arise. Your attention to detail will be crucial as you work to maintain the accuracy of work-in-process. You will also contribute to the cleanliness of your work area and surrounding workspace, fostering a productive environment for yourself and your team. As you gain experience, you will have the opportunity to learn more about the hardware development process and contribute to innovative projects that shape the future of fabrication.
