Dropbox is hiring a Senior Data Scientist to partner with product, engineering, and design teams to drive impact in AI and user experience. You'll leverage analytics techniques to improve user engagement and business growth. This role requires strong analytical skills and proficiency in Python.
You have 5+ years of experience in data science, focusing on product analytics and user behavior analysis. Your robust knowledge of consumer lifecycle and customer segmentation allows you to derive actionable insights that drive business growth. You possess strong leadership and influence skills, enabling you to advocate for data-driven solutions across teams. Proficiency in programming and statistical packages, particularly Python, is a key asset in your toolkit. You are comfortable designing and executing experiments to test hypotheses and inform future product strategies. Your analytical mindset helps you identify trends and opportunities that can enhance user experiences and engagement.
A Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Economics, or Computer Science is preferred. Experience in a SaaS environment will give you an edge in understanding the unique challenges and opportunities in this space. Familiarity with propensity models and automated reporting tools will also be beneficial in this role.
As a Senior Data Scientist at Dropbox, you will partner closely with product, engineering, and design teams to tackle complex problems and enhance the core user experience. Your primary responsibility will be to perform analytical deep-dives that analyze user engagement behavior, identify key trends, and derive insights that inform product roadmaps. You will design and execute experiments to test hypotheses, ensuring that your findings are grounded in data. Your role will also involve creating personalized segmentation strategies that leverage propensity models to target offers and experiences based on user attributes.
You will build automated reporting and executive-facing dashboards to track the progress of acquisition, monetization, and engagement trends. By monitoring and analyzing a high volume of experiments, you will optimize the user experience and advocate for new solutions that align with data-driven insights. Your ability to influence cross-functional teams will be crucial in moving ideas forward and ensuring that data informs decision-making at all levels.
At Dropbox, we offer a competitive compensation package, with a salary range of CAD 162,400 to CAD 219,600.
