Overview

Block is seeking an Implementation Specialist to manage the onboarding process for merchants, ensuring optimal configuration and user training. This role requires deep product and industry knowledge to drive successful activations.

Who you are

You have a strong background in managing customer implementations and onboarding processes, ideally within the tech or financial services sector. Your experience allows you to understand the complexities of merchant needs and how to address them effectively. You possess excellent communication skills, enabling you to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders clearly. You are detail-oriented and organized, ensuring that every aspect of the onboarding process is executed flawlessly. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with sales, product, and support teams to ensure a seamless transition for new customers. You are proactive in identifying potential challenges and addressing them before they impact the customer experience.

Desirable

Experience with payment processing systems or financial technology is a plus. Familiarity with project management tools and methodologies will help you excel in this role. A background in customer service or support can also be beneficial, as it enhances your ability to empathize with merchants and understand their pain points.

What you'll do

As an Implementation Specialist at Block, you will manage the final stages of the sales funnel, working directly with merchants to drive a closed deal through to activation. You will leverage your deep product knowledge to guide sellers through the onboarding process, ensuring they are set up for success from day one. Your role will involve configuring systems to meet the specific needs of each merchant, providing user training, and addressing any questions or concerns they may have. You will collaborate with various teams to ensure that the onboarding experience is smooth and efficient, contributing to overall customer satisfaction and retention. You will also track the progress of each implementation, providing updates to stakeholders and identifying areas for improvement in the onboarding process.
