Job Description

ABOUT THE TEAM
Amazon's Perfect Order Experience (POE) team works to ensure that buyers receive authentic products in the condition and with the functionality they are expecting. We design and implement policies, tools, and technology innovations to protect the buying experience on Amazon. Our greatest challenge is protecting buyer trust without unjustly harming good selling partners. To strike the right balance, we invest in mechanisms which allow us to accurately identify and mitigate risk, and to quickly correct and learn from our mistakes. This strategy includes continuously evolving enforcement policies, iterating our Machine Learning risk models, and exercising high‐judgement decision‐making where we cannot apply automation.

ABOUT THE ROLE
Within POE, we're establishing a new Seller Experience charter that balances seller success with customer protection through intelligent enforcement mechanisms. As a the Business Analyst in the POE SX team, you will play a crucial role in shaping and driving the team's success in this startup-like environment.

You will be responsible for solving problems from 0 to 1, starting from developing and owning the P0 metrics, where you'll connect data points from various enforcement actions to provide comprehensive performance insights. This requires strong analytical skills to synthesize complex information and identify meaningful opportunity areas for improvement.

Additionally, you will serve as a key partner to the product and engineering teams, helping to build new products from the ground up. Your ability to navigate ambiguity and transform abstract concepts into concrete solutions will be essential as you participate in the complete product development lifecycle, from initial ideation to final implementation.

Your analytical mindset will be put to use in identifying trends, patterns, and opportunities within our business operations. You'll need to translate these insights into actionable recommendations, working closely with stakeholders across different functions to drive implementation. This includes creating and maintaining performance metrics, developing dashboards, and establishing processes to monitor and improve business effectiveness.

As a senior member of the team, you'll be expected to work independently and take ownership of multiple projects simultaneously. This includes managing stakeholder relationships, facilitating cross-functional collaboration, and ensuring project deliverables meet both technical and business requirements. Your role will be instrumental in building the foundation for this new team, requiring both strategic thinking and hands-on execution.

Success in this role requires comfort with ambiguity, strong problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication skills. You will need to be adaptable and resilient, as you'll be working in a dynamic environment where priorities and requirements may shift rapidly. Your work will directly impact the team's ability to deliver perfect order experiences, making this role critical to our overall business success.
