Job Description

CloudTrucks is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and experienced Drayage Operations Account Specialist. In this 0‑to‑1 opportunity, you will help shape our drayage strategy, support go‑to‑market execution, and play a key role in driving revenue growth through exceptional operations and customer service. You will be the operational backbone for a portfolio of accounts, with deep ownership of drayage while also managing other modes (primarily truckload) in a highly cross‑functional, customer‑facing role.

What You’ll Do

  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to drive retention, renewal, and profitable expansion.

  • Serve as the subject matter expert for drayage while also overseeing day‑to‑day operations for truckload/dry van shipments.

  • Proactively communicate with customers, carriers, suppliers, and internal partners to ensure service expectations are met and issues are resolved quickly.

  • Utilize technology and TMS/visibility tools to track order statuses, manage port/rail activity, and initiate corrective measures immediately when exceptions arise.

  • Identify opportunities to upsell or cross‑sell new services, modes, or lanes within your existing book of business.

  • Collaborate closely with operations, product, sales, and finance teams to ensure operational excellence and timely issue resolution.

  • Develop and maintain thorough SOPs and account processes, ensuring they are clearly documented, scalable, and consistently followed.

  • Prepare and deliver account insights, performance updates, and business reviews for customers and internal leadership.

Who You Are

  • You are energized by accountability, ownership, and moving key business metrics in the right direction.

  • You are comfortable pushing both customers and internal teams to create better outcomes when needed.

  • You have a growth mindset: you are not afraid to try new things, learn from failure, and iterate quickly.

  • You thrive on feedback, operate as a self‑starter, and are highly dependable.

  • You are a strong relationship builder with exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

What You’ll Bring

  • 2+ years of experience in logistics or transportation, with a strong understanding of drayage, intermodal, and port operations.

  • Proven experience in a customer‑facing operations or account management role (brokerage or 3PL experience a plus).

  • Clear and confident verbal and written communication skills.

  • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize and multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.

  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments and work as part of a high‑performing team.

  • Comfort with transportation management systems and common productivity tools (e.g., Google Workspace, Excel).

This is a hybrid role requiring a minimum of 4x a week in our Atlanta office in Buckhead.
