Join the Places team at Apple Ireland and play a pivotal role in ensuring operational excellence for our campus. As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for the reliable and efficient operation of our electrical and critical systems, directly contributing to a world-class workplace. You'll drive efficiency and sustainability initiatives while collaborating with stakeholders across the campus, and leverage data-driven insights from building management systems to optimize energy usage and enhance the overall campus experience.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated experience of electrical maintenance operations in a large corporate environment.
Proficiency in operating and maintaining Building Management Systems (BMS)
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively partner with stakeholders and contractors/vendors
Familiarity with CAPEX projects
Preferred Qualifications
Qualification in either Electrical or Building Services or Facilities Management.
Responsibilities
Oversee the seamless execution of all electrical maintenance operations, from preventive measures to rapid corrective actions, ensuring minimal disruption to campus activities.
Enhance our structured preventive maintenance program to minimize equipment failures and downtime, leveraging your expertise to optimize system performance.
Proactively lead and coordinate all maintenance activities, both preventive and corrective, across the campus.
Manage key vendors responsible for critical systems, including MV/LV switchgear, transformers, generators, UPS, fire & security, structured cabling, intelligent building controls, energy systems, motor control centers, and PLCs.
Guarantee all electrical work adheres to relevant standards and manufacturer specifications, managing permits and upholding Apple's commitment to safety.
Partner with Apple project managers to ensure that all capital expenditure projects meet expected standards and design intent.
Utilize data from CAFM, energy monitoring, and other smart systems to develop and refine a truly intelligent campus environment.
Develop and maintain interactive dashboards and visualizations to track key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify trends in electrical system performance.
Dive into large datasets from electrical systems to pinpoint areas for improvement and optimization, driving data-informed decisions.
Generate compelling reports and presentations to effectively communicate data-driven insights to stakeholders.
Work closely with diverse teams including Environmental Health and Safety, Manufacturing, Information Systems & Technology, Research and Development, and Security on key campus events like shutdowns and audits (e.g., ISO 140001).
Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders and vendors, ensuring seamless collaboration.Interested in this role?
