You have a strong background in legal operations, ideally with experience in managing legal spend and budgeting. Your organizational skills are top-notch, allowing you to handle complex, cross-functional workstreams effectively. You thrive in a collaborative environment and are comfortable working closely with various teams to ensure smooth operations. You are detail-oriented and analytical, capable of forecasting and managing financial operations within the legal department. You enjoy building processes from the ground up and are eager to contribute to a growing team.
Experience in a fast-paced legal environment is a plus, as is familiarity with vendor management and financial oversight. You may have worked with legal software or tools that enhance operational efficiency. A proactive approach to problem-solving and a willingness to adapt to changing needs will set you apart in this role.
In this role, you will serve as the financial and operational backbone of Verkada's legal function. You will be responsible for managing legal spend, including budgeting and forecasting for the legal department. Your duties will include overseeing vendor relationships and ensuring that all financial operations align with the company's goals. You will collaborate with the legal team to plan for the fiscal year, manage outside counsel fees, and track software and professional services expenses. Additionally, you will play a key role in managing headcount and travel expenses related to the legal team.
