Lindblad Expeditions is seeking a Manager of Medical Operations to oversee medical services across their fleet. This role involves ensuring high-quality healthcare for passengers and crew, along with responsibilities in policy development and regulatory compliance.
You have a strong background in medical operations management, ideally with experience in the travel or maritime industry. Your expertise includes developing medical policies and ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. You are skilled in emergency preparedness and have a commitment to continuous improvement in medical services. You understand the importance of providing high-quality healthcare to diverse populations, including passengers and crew in remote locations. You are a collaborative leader who can work effectively with medical staff and other departments to enhance onboard medical operations. You are proactive in identifying areas for improvement and implementing solutions that ensure safety and compliance.
As the Manager of Medical Operations, you will oversee all medical services across Lindblad Expeditions’ fleet, ensuring that healthcare provided to passengers, staff, and crew is safe and compliant with regulations. You will work closely with the Chief Medical Officer to develop and implement medical policies that align with industry standards. Your role will involve staffing medical personnel on ships, ensuring that they are well-trained and equipped to handle medical emergencies. You will also be responsible for regulatory compliance, ensuring that all medical operations meet local and international healthcare regulations. Additionally, you will lead initiatives for emergency preparedness, ensuring that the fleet is ready to respond to medical emergencies at sea. Continuous improvement of onboard medical operations will be a key focus, as you will analyze performance metrics and implement best practices to enhance the quality of care provided.
