Overview

MongoDB is seeking a Public Sector Enterprise Account Executive to drive new business acquisition and revenue growth. You'll focus on formulating and executing sales strategies within your territory. This role requires strong relationship-building skills and a proactive approach to sales.

Who you are

You are a driven individual with a strong desire for new business acquisition — your energy and passion set you apart in the sales landscape. You have experience in formulating and executing sales strategies, particularly within the enterprise sector, and you thrive on building relationships with key stakeholders such as CTOs and Engineering leaders. Your ability to identify and qualify sales opportunities is complemented by your commitment to achieving customer satisfaction through collaboration with solution architects and professional services teams.

You understand the importance of feedback and input in a sales environment — you are eager to contribute to the continuous improvement of sales strategies and processes. Your proactive nature allows you to strategically prospect into technical end users, ensuring that you maximize growth opportunities within your assigned territory. You are comfortable working in a hybrid model, balancing remote work with in-person collaboration.

Desirable

Experience in the software industry is a plus, as is familiarity with sales enablement training programs. You are open to learning from successful sales leaders and are committed to personal and professional growth within your role. Your ability to adapt to new challenges and environments will help you excel in this position.

What you'll do

In this role, you will proactively identify, qualify, and close a sales pipeline — your focus will be on driving revenue growth and acquiring new customers. You will strategically prospect into CTOs, Engineering/IT Leaders, and technical end users, building strong and effective relationships that lead to growth opportunities. You will partner closely with our Solution Architects and work with the Professional Services team to ensure customer satisfaction and successful implementation of our solutions.

You will also collaborate with enterprise ecosystem partner sales and channel partners to maximize deal sizes, leveraging your network and industry knowledge to create impactful sales strategies. Participation in our sales enablement trainings, including our comprehensive Sales Bootcamp, will be essential to your success — you will learn from some of the most successful sales leaders in the software industry, gaining insights that will enhance your sales approach.
