Job Description

At Apple, quality is in everything we do, and as the Siri Software Quality Engineering Manager, you will be managing a team of quality-focused engineers responsible for upholding that standard. You will work cross-functionally to identify and highlight key issues in a dynamic environment facing exciting new challenges daily for all the Apple product lines that Siri works on! This involves working cross functionally across many teams at Apple and delivering rich Apple Quality - Apple Intelligence features to our customers. You will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, attention to detail, patience, and a real passion for product usability. This team ensures validating the user experience of Siri Speech Software and will play a key role in telling us when we are ready to release the Software to our customers. Quality Engineers in this team test to objective metrics with customer experience in mind and build automated tests for iterative and long-term measurements of quality. You will be leading development of LLM based tools to assist in this effort. Come join our team and use creativity and innovation to build experiences that our users will love!

Description

Bring technical depth to help solve challenging and novel problems and enable quantitative measurements of quality. Ability to set a vision for the team and drive development of automation tools, data corralling tools coming from various automation pipelines, and work cross-functionally to learn and reuse existing tools. Deliver clear reports to partners and executives as products under test move through each development phase. Take ownership of issues and drive them to resolution. Balance priorities between short-term results and long-term infrastructure improvements. Continuously improve tests and processes with a drive toward innovation and automation.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry experience in a related field.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience Managing teams or being a tech lead.

Leadership skills: Hire great engineers into the team, manage and grow them while delivering the project goals. Priority driven: Comfortable working in a constantly evolving environment and driving top issues to resolution. Technically agile: Ready to deep dive into technical areas when needed but also discuss these topics to a non-technical audience. Executive presence: Ability to summarize key points and tie them back to the customer experience.
