Amazon is seeking a Network Engineer to join their AWS Infrastructure Services team. Who you are

You have a strong background in network engineering, with experience in designing and implementing network solutions that meet the demands of large-scale infrastructure. Your expertise includes collaborating with vendors to evaluate new hardware and software solutions, ensuring that they integrate seamlessly into existing systems. You are skilled in automating test plans and developing optical modules and electrical cables, which are critical for maintaining high-performance networks.

You possess a deep understanding of structured cabling systems, including fiber and copper installations, and have experience designing these systems for hyperscale data centers. Your ability to develop standards, reference designs, and installation guidelines ensures that network deployments are efficient and reliable. You thrive in environments where you can tackle ambiguous problems and are committed to delivering the best results for customers.

You are a team player who enjoys collaborating with a diverse group of professionals, including software, hardware, and network engineers, as well as supply chain specialists and operations managers. You will design and specify structured cabling systems for network layers at hyperscale data centers, focusing on both fiber and copper solutions. Your work will involve developing standards, reference designs, and installation guidelines for physical network and cabling deployments, which are essential for maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the AWS infrastructure.

You will also engage in problem-solving activities, focusing on ambiguous areas in existing systems to identify opportunities for improvement. Your contributions will directly impact the operational efficiency of AWS data centers, helping to ensure that customers have continual access to the services they rely on.
