Overview

Google is seeking an Application Engineer for their Raxium Display team to develop and validate photoelectrical measurement systems. You'll work with display technologies and programming languages like Python and MATLAB. This position requires a Bachelor's degree and 2 years of relevant experience.

Job Description

Who you are

You hold a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, and have at least 2 years of experience in developing and validating photoelectrical measurement systems. Your background includes experience in display technology such as LCD, OLED, or microLED, which has equipped you with a solid understanding of the engineering principles involved in these technologies. You are proficient in programming and scripting languages, particularly Python, MATLAB, and LabVIEW, and have a strong grasp of automation tools that enhance your engineering capabilities.

You have a Master’s degree in a relevant field, which adds depth to your technical expertise. Your experience includes designing high-speed digital or analog systems, and you are familiar with prototype bring-up and debugging techniques using oscilloscopes. You understand the importance of functional verification and have a keen eye for detail when it comes to technical documentation, including specifications and verification plans.

You thrive in collaborative environments and are eager to partner with key customers and manufacturers to define specifications and integrate designs. Your ability to troubleshoot and provide expert guidance in the display electrical engineering domain makes you a valuable asset to any team.

Desirable

Experience in engineering specifically within the display electrical engineering domain is a plus. Familiarity with optical and electrical characterization techniques will further enhance your contributions to the team.

What you'll do

As an Application Engineer at Google, you will be part of the Raxium display group, where you will contribute to the development of revolutionary semiconductor materials display technology. Your role will involve collaborating with cross-functional teams to integrate designs and ensure the successful validation of microLED components. You will create and maintain essential technical documentation, including detailed specifications and verification plans, to facilitate knowledge sharing within the team.

You will engage in panel measurement correlation and optical/electrical characterization to validate performance against design goals. Your expertise will be crucial in establishing comprehensive verification environments for functional and timing validation of display technologies. You will also be responsible for troubleshooting and providing expert guidance to ensure that the engineering processes align with the innovative goals of the Raxium display group.
