LaunchDarkly is seeking a Data Scientist to join their Core Data Science team. You'll ensure statistical rigor in product features and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This role requires a strong background in statistics and data analysis.
You have 3+ years of experience in the industry, ideally with a strong focus on online experimentation and statistical analysis. Your educational background includes a Master's or PhD in Statistics or a related field, equipping you with the technical expertise needed for this role. You possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, allowing you to articulate complex technical concepts clearly to diverse audiences. You are passionate about advocating for data-driven decision-making and have a knack for developing innovative techniques that enhance user experience.
Experience with statistical software and programming languages such as Python is a plus. Familiarity with data visualization tools and methodologies will help you in your role. You thrive in collaborative environments and enjoy working closely with engineering, design, and product teams to drive impactful results.
As a Data Scientist at LaunchDarkly, you will be responsible for ensuring the statistical rigor and validity of our products. You will develop new techniques to bring value to our users, advocating for technically sophisticated personas throughout the product development process. Your role will involve conducting research to inform feature design, ensuring that statistical and performance requirements are met. You will provide reference implementations and technical guidance, contributing to production code as needed.
