Amazon is hiring a Senior HR Compliance Specialist for the LATAM region to ensure labor and employment compliance across Brazil, Mexico, and Costa Rica. You'll partner with HR and legal teams to drive compliance initiatives and assess labor practices. This role requires strong knowledge of local employment laws.
You have extensive experience in HR compliance, particularly within the LATAM region, and a deep understanding of labor and employment laws across Brazil, Mexico, and Costa Rica. You are skilled in assessing compliance risks and developing strategies to mitigate them, ensuring that HR practices align with local regulations. Your ability to communicate complex legal requirements in a clear and actionable manner makes you a trusted partner to HR and business teams.
You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with regional HR and employment counsel to drive compliance initiatives. Your analytical skills allow you to monitor legislative changes and conduct risk assessments effectively, ensuring that the organization remains compliant with evolving labor laws. You are proactive in identifying compliance risks and implementing solutions that support business and people strategies.
Your experience includes managing administrative and advisory services related to labor and employment compliance, and you are adept at leveraging data analytics to identify trends and improve compliance processes. You have a track record of successfully leading compliance programs and initiatives, demonstrating your ability to influence and drive change within the organization.
Experience in a multinational corporation is a plus, as is familiarity with HR Centers of Excellence. You may also have a background in legal compliance or employee relations, which would enhance your ability to navigate complex compliance landscapes.
In this role, you will lead labor and employment compliance initiatives across the LATAM region, partnering with legal, employee relations, and regional stakeholders to proactively address compliance risks. You will own the end-to-end delivery of critical HR compliance programs, ensuring that all practices align with local laws and regulations. Your responsibilities will include monitoring legislative changes, conducting risk assessments, and developing tailored mitigation strategies for each country's regulatory environment.
You will serve as the primary compliance liaison between LATAM operations and global HR Centers of Excellence, translating complex legal requirements into actionable HR policies. Presenting compliance updates to senior leadership will be a key part of your role, as will driving continuous improvement of compliance processes and systems across LATAM. You will leverage data analytics to identify trends and create comprehensive documentation for strategic initiatives, ensuring that the organization remains compliant and well-informed.
