Patreon is seeking a Director of Platform Engineering to lead teams responsible for core infrastructure and platform services. This role requires experience in scaling consumer platforms and managing complex distributed systems.
You are a seasoned engineering leader with a proven track record of scaling consumer, user-generated content, or marketplace platforms to millions of users. You have experience leading infrastructure and platform teams that support product engineering at scale, ensuring high availability and reliability in environments with bursty traffic and complex distributed systems. You thrive in collaborative settings, partnering closely with Product, Security, Data, and Product Engineering leaders to enhance platform reliability and performance. You possess strong communication skills, enabling you to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders effectively. You are passionate about building robust systems that empower creators and enhance user experiences.
In this role, you will lead the teams responsible for the core infrastructure and platform services that power Patreon's product and ecosystem. You will oversee the development and maintenance of scalable systems that support millions of users, ensuring they are reliable and efficient.
