SpaceX is seeking a Satellite On-orbit Hardware Reliability Engineer to investigate and analyze hardware reliability for the Starlink project. You'll work cross-team with design, production, and operations engineers, utilizing data analysis and failure investigation skills.
You have a strong background in hardware reliability engineering, with experience in investigating and analyzing hardware performance in complex systems. Your analytical skills allow you to track and improve hardware reliability effectively, ensuring that systems operate at peak performance. You are comfortable working cross-functionally with design, production, and operations teams, and you thrive in a collaborative environment where you can contribute to innovative projects. You possess a keen attention to detail and a passion for space technology, which drives your commitment to excellence in your work.
Experience with satellite systems or aerospace engineering is a plus, as is familiarity with data analysis tools and methodologies. You may also have a background in failure analysis and reliability testing, which will enhance your ability to contribute to the Starlink project.
As a Satellite On-orbit Hardware Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for investigating and analyzing the reliability of hardware on the largest space vehicle fleet in history. Your daily tasks will include working closely with design, production, and operations engineers to respond to on-orbit data and take necessary actions based on your findings. You will utilize a mixture of failure investigation techniques and data analysis skills to achieve root causes for on-orbit hardware anomalies. Your insights will be crucial at multiple points in the design and production process, ensuring that hardware reliability continues to improve as the Starlink constellation expands.
