Who you are

You have a BS/MS/PhD in a scientific field or equivalent experience, and you possess significant backend programming experience in one or more languages such as Go, Java, Rust, or C++. Your interest or experience with query processing and database internals sets you apart, as you have been exposed to working on problems that require high durability and low latency. You can get down to the low-level when needed, and you care about simple designs and performance. You thrive in a fast, high-growth startup environment and are eager to contribute to meaningful projects.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer on the Cross-Product Queries team, you will be responsible for building and operating query execution engines. This includes working on query planning, cost-based optimization, and writing operators to enhance the query language design and syntax. You will dive deep into the development of new language features to meet user needs, ensuring that the solutions you build are fault-tolerant and horizontally scalable, running in multi-tenant environments. You will own meaningful parts of the service, allowing you to have a significant impact on the product and grow with the company.
