Senior Software Engineer - SaaS Data Protection

Who you are

You have 7+ years of experience in developing large-scale distributed systems — you've tackled complex challenges and have a deep understanding of how to build resilient architectures that can scale effectively. Your exceptional understanding of distributed systems allows you to navigate the intricacies of cloud environments seamlessly.

You possess a sound understanding of cloud architecture and internals for AWS, Azure, or GCP — this knowledge enables you to design solutions that leverage the best practices of cloud computing. Your proven experience in data structures, algorithms, software design, and systems analysis equips you to make informed decisions that enhance system performance.

A degree in Computer Science or equivalent is part of your background — this foundation has prepared you to approach problems analytically and creatively. You are also familiar with Golang, which is preferred for this role, and you are eager to apply your skills in a collaborative environment.

What you'll do

As a Senior Software Engineer at Rubrik, you will design, build, and maintain our cloud data protection services — your work will directly impact how we protect SaaS applications like Salesforce and Office 365. You will problem-solve at scale, addressing the needs of millions of users and ensuring their data is secure and recoverable.

Collaboration is key in this role; you will work closely with partner teams such as Product Management, UI, UX, documentation, and support teams — your ability to communicate effectively across disciplines will help drive the success of our projects. You will also engage in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of our engineering practices.

Your responsibilities will include analyzing system performance and identifying areas for optimization — you will leverage your expertise to enhance the efficiency of our data protection solutions. You will also mentor junior engineers, sharing your knowledge and helping them grow in their careers.
