Amazon is seeking for Maintenance Technicians to join our team at our Fulfillment Centre (FC) in Horsley Park, Sydney.
The focus of the Maintenance Technician role is to ensure safety regulations and policies are adhered to, to ensure preventative maintenance is conducted on time to a high standard and to provide high levels of equipment availability through continuous improvement.
This is a full-time night shift role (10-hour shifts x 4 days).
Please note that the current shift pattern will be Monday - Thursday (10:00am - 8:00pm) then transition into a full-time night shift role.

- Carry out planned preventative maintenance on the full range of equipment within the site.
- Put health & safety best practices first in all work carried out.
- React quickly to breakdowns, communicate clearly with affected teams and work efficiently to fix the issue.
- Support continuous improvement by learning from breakdowns and sending feedback and suggestions for improvements through the line manager.
- Provide high levels of equipment availability to our internal customers.
- Support and learn from Senior Maintenance Technicians.
A day in the life
Our Technicians are based on-site, so they can respond quickly to any machinery issues. You’ll carry out a range of planned preventative maintenance to our sites’ equipment to make sure it’s working safely. As a Technician, you’ll also respond promptly to breakdowns, investigating, finding, and implementing solutions as quickly as possible. You’ll also make suggestions for long-term improvements.
Working alongside senior colleagues, you’ll undertake day-to-day maintenance tasks and general building maintenance.
About the team
Our Reliability Maintenance Engineering or RME team keep our equipment performing at its best. We're a technically minded team, made up of team players and guided by experienced leaders. We work together to maintain, troubleshoot and repair equipment across our global network. - Formal Trade Qualification: served a full apprenticeship in either Electrical or Mechanical Engineering qualified to a minimum of Certificate III Electrotechnology with current electrical trade license OR Cert III Mechanical Engineering (Fitter/Turner). Alternatively, an equivalent apprenticeship in either Electrical or Mechanical formally recognised in Australia.
- Experience of planned preventative maintenance systems.
- Experience fault finding within Material Handling Equipment/Automation systems.
- Ability to read and understand electrical/mechanical drawings.
- Experience of conveyor maintenance, motor controllers/inverters.- Preferred qualifications are not required to apply for a position at Amazon. If you have all the basic qualifications above, we’d love to hear from you.
