DailyPay is seeking a Senior Director, Assistant Controller to oversee core accounting operations and ensure compliance with public company standards. This role requires strong leadership skills and experience in accounting operations.

Who you are

You have a proven track record of leading accounting teams and overseeing core accounting operations. With extensive experience in general ledger oversight, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll, you understand the intricacies of both domestic and international accounting practices. Your leadership style fosters collaboration and development among your staff, ensuring that everyone is aligned with the company's financial goals. You possess excellent communication skills and executive presence, allowing you to effectively partner with various stakeholders across the organization.

You are well-versed in U.S. GAAP and have a strong understanding of compliance requirements for public companies. Your ability to design and document accounting processes ensures that your team operates efficiently and meets all regulatory standards. You thrive in a fast-paced environment and are adept at managing multiple priorities while delivering timely and accurate financial results. Your experience in the worktech sector is a plus, as it provides you with unique insights into the financial needs of modern businesses.

What you'll do

In this hands-on leadership role, you will oversee the day-to-day accounting operations of DailyPay, ensuring that all financial activities are conducted in accordance with established policies and procedures. You will lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, delivering timely and accurate financial results that inform strategic decision-making. Your role will involve close collaboration with the Director of Accounting, Director of Financial Reporting, and the Strategic Finance team to build and strengthen a scalable Finance function.

You will be responsible for ensuring compliance with U.S. GAAP and leading efforts to design, document, and implement accounting processes that enhance operational efficiency. Your leadership will guide the accounting team in managing general ledger activities, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions. You will also play a key role in developing and mentoring your team, helping them to grow their skills and advance their careers within the organization.
