Job Description

Who you are

You have experience in medical support, ideally in a workplace setting, where you've provided first aid and health guidance to employees. You understand the importance of workplace safety and are familiar with OSHA regulations and risk analysis. Your passion for health and wellness drives you to advocate for the wellbeing of your colleagues, ensuring they receive the necessary support for both occupational and non-occupational injuries or illnesses. You are comfortable working independently and as part of a team, collaborating with WHS professionals to enhance safety practices on-site.

Desirable

Experience in a corporate or industrial environment is a plus, as is familiarity with case management processes. You may have a background in nursing or a related field, which equips you with the skills to assess and respond to medical situations effectively. Your ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with associates is essential, as you will often be the first point of contact for health-related inquiries.

What you'll do

As an Onsite Medical Representative at Amazon, you will play a crucial role in maintaining a safe work environment. You will assess and administer first aid to associates, ensuring they receive timely care for any injuries or health concerns. Your responsibilities will include participating in weekly safety committee meetings, where you will contribute to discussions on improving workplace safety practices. You will also greet new hires and provide them with essential health and safety information, fostering a culture of safety from their first day.

In addition to first aid duties, you will guide associates on health and wellness principles, helping them understand how to manage their health proactively. You will refer cases to outside medical providers when necessary, ensuring that associates receive comprehensive care. Your role will involve continuous learning about workplace health standards and best practices, allowing you to stay informed and effective in your position.

At Amazon, we are committed to creating a safe and supportive work environment. As part of our team, you will have access to a full range of medical and financial benefits, including competitive compensation packages. We value the health and wellbeing of our employees and strive to provide resources that support their needs. Join us in our mission to become Earth’s safest place to work, where your contributions will make a meaningful impact on the lives of your colleagues.
