Senior Backend Engineer - Client integrations (Europe)

You have 5+ years of backend engineering experience, particularly in building scalable systems that handle complex integrations. Your expertise in Java and Spring is complemented by a strong understanding of REST APIs, allowing you to design and implement robust solutions that meet client needs. You thrive in collaborative environments and are adept at working with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software. Your problem-solving skills are top-notch, and you are comfortable navigating the challenges of integrating with various client systems. You are passionate about leveraging technology to improve processes and outcomes in the commercial insurance industry.

Desirable

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus, as is familiarity with AI technologies. You have a keen interest in the insurance sector and understand the nuances of client integrations in this space. Your ability to mentor junior engineers and contribute to team growth is highly valued.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the development of client integrations for Kalepa's AI Underwriting Platform. You will collaborate closely with product managers and other engineers to define integration requirements and ensure that our solutions meet client expectations. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing backend services that facilitate seamless data exchange between our platform and client systems. You will also be involved in optimizing existing integrations and troubleshooting any issues that arise during implementation.

You will participate in code reviews and contribute to the overall improvement of our development processes. Your insights will help shape the technical direction of our integrations, ensuring that we maintain high standards of performance and reliability. You will also have the opportunity to work on innovative projects that leverage AI to enhance underwriting processes, making a significant impact on our clients' operations.
