Who you are

You have over 5 years of experience as a data engineer, demonstrating strong expertise in building and maintaining data pipelines. Your hands-on experience with Azure Data Factory is complemented by advanced SQL skills, allowing you to handle complex data transformations and performance tuning with ease. You are familiar with API-based data ingestion and have a solid understanding of relational data stores, particularly SQL Server. Your experience includes modernizing on-prem SQL Server environments and working with Azure Data Lake, ensuring data quality and integrity throughout the process. You possess advanced English language skills, enabling effective communication in a global team environment.

What you'll do

In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of Azure Data Factory pipelines, ensuring that data ingestion patterns are architected effectively for both API-based and SQL Server data sources. You will define transformation approaches using SQL and ELT patterns, establishing standards for data quality, validation, and reconciliation logic. Your responsibilities will also include reviewing and guiding the work produced by mid-level data engineers, troubleshooting complex pipeline issues, and collaborating closely with the Data Architect and Data Product Manager. You will contribute to technical documentation and knowledge transfer, ensuring that best practices are shared across the team. Your success will be measured by the stability and scalability of the ingestion pipelines you create, as well as the consistent engineering standards you enforce across the platform.
