Deliveroo is hiring a Field Sales Executive, Mandarin Speaking, to drive performance in the Chinese Category team. You'll build relationships with new restaurant partners across the region, focusing on growth opportunities. This role requires a valid driving license and a willingness to travel.
You have experience in sales and a passion for building relationships — you thrive in a competitive market and enjoy engaging with local businesses to drive growth. Ideally, you are based in or around Bristol, Southampton, Exeter, Plymouth, or Wales, and are comfortable with a role that requires travel across these areas. You possess strong communication skills in Mandarin, which will help you connect with Chinese restaurant partners effectively.
You are organized and detail-oriented, able to map, prospect, pitch, and close new restaurant partnerships in a structured manner. Your understanding of the local market dynamics will enable you to identify opportunities and challenges, ensuring that you can contribute to Deliveroo's growth in the Chinese category. You are adaptable and enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where you can make a significant impact.
Experience in the food delivery or restaurant industry would be a plus, as would familiarity with the local restaurant scene. A valid driving license and access to a car are essential for this role, as you will be required to travel frequently to meet potential partners.
In this role, you will be responsible for signing up the best Chinese restaurants in your area, enhancing Deliveroo's offerings for customers. You will work closely with the Chinese Category team and the UKI Commercial teams to drive performance across the region. Your day-to-day activities will involve mapping out potential restaurant partners, conducting outreach, and pitching Deliveroo's value proposition to them. You will also be expected to maintain relationships with existing partners, ensuring their needs are met and identifying opportunities for further collaboration.
You will report to the Chinese Category Client Partner and collaborate with various teams to align on strategies that drive growth. Your insights into the local market will be invaluable in shaping Deliveroo's approach to expanding its Chinese restaurant partnerships. You will be expected to track your progress and report on key metrics related to your sales activities, contributing to the overall success of the team.
