As Privacy Counsel you will have the opportunity to work with a dynamic and experienced team on privacy issues impacting Apple’s business and products globally. You’ll play an important part in upholding Apple’s high ethical and corporate standards and in expanding Apple’s services in the EMEIA region. You will support the EMEIA Privacy Legal Team and work directly with business and engineering teams to design innovative privacy solutions for products as well as across the legal department on Apple activities and regulatory issues. Apple is seeking a highly motivated, experienced, and proactive (Senior) Privacy Counsel to join its team, focusing on privacy and data protection across the Europe, Middle East, India, and Africa (EMEIA) region, with a particular focus on supporting the team in the EU. In this role, you will provide expert legal advice and strategic guidance on GDPR and on regional privacy and data protection laws, collaborating closely with Apple’s global Privacy and Legal teams to ensure compliance with local requirements. You will be actively involved in geo-expansion work across the region, supporting the launch of Apple’s products and services in new markets. This work offers the opportunity to navigate and learn from the unique legal, regulatory, and geopolitical challenges that arise when expanding into diverse and fast-evolving jurisdictions. You will monitor and evaluate evolving privacy regulations and political developments, advising on their potential impact on Apple’s business. Additionally, you will engage with policymakers, regulators, and industry stakeholders to advocate for Apple’s interests and support its business operations by managing privacy risks in the region’s complex and rapidly evolving regulatory landscape. You will also conduct Data Protection Impact and Legitimate Interest Assessments for new products and services and help the team meet obligations under the GDPR and other regional privacy frameworks. Willingness to travel within the EMEIA region and globally as needed.
