Amazon is seeking a Construction Manager to oversee project management for industrial developments, including new builds and renovations. You'll work closely with internal and external stakeholders to ensure successful project execution. This role requires expertise in construction management and project oversight.
You have a strong background in construction management with experience overseeing industrial development projects — you understand the complexities of managing new builds, retrofits, and expansions. Your project management skills are complemented by your ability to perform detailed reviews of job budgets and schedules, ensuring discrepancies are identified and resolved effectively. You excel in building relationships with internal customers and external stakeholders, earning their trust and fostering collaboration to deliver results. Your experience includes working with developers and general contractors, acting as a key point of contact throughout the construction process. You are adaptable and willing to travel regionally as required, demonstrating your commitment to project success.
Experience with facility network infrastructure implementation is a plus, as is familiarity with sortation centers and delivery stations. A background in contract management will enhance your ability to navigate the complexities of construction agreements and partnerships.
In this role, you will manage the construction of new facilities across the US, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget. You will oversee the entire project lifecycle, from site selection through contract execution, collaborating with various teams to align on project goals. Your responsibilities will include conducting deep dive reviews of contractor bid packages and job budgets, identifying any discrepancies that may arise. You will serve as Amazon's representative, interfacing directly with developers and general contractors to facilitate smooth project execution. Additionally, you will coordinate with internal stakeholders responsible for equipping and operating the facilities, ensuring that all aspects of the project are integrated effectively. Your role will require you to be proactive in problem-solving and to communicate clearly with all parties involved to drive project success.
Amazon provides a comprehensive benefits package that includes medical, financial, and other benefits. You will have the opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your contributions directly impact the construction and operation of Amazon's facilities. We encourage you to apply even if your experience doesn't match every requirement, as we value diverse perspectives and backgrounds in our team. This position offers a chance to grow your career in a leading global company while making a tangible difference in the construction and sustainability of our facilities.
