Apple is seeking an Embedded QA Engineer to ensure high-quality camera solutions for iOS products. You'll be responsible for testing camera firmware and drivers, requiring expertise in Python and embedded systems. This role demands a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience.
You have a BS degree and at least 3 years of relevant industry experience, particularly in QA testing for embedded systems. Your background includes a strong understanding of camera technologies and image signal processing (ISP) pipelines, which are crucial for this role. You are proficient in Python or a similar scripting language, enabling you to develop automated tests effectively. Your experience includes creating system and feature-level test plans and test cases, ensuring comprehensive coverage of the camera functionalities. You thrive in collaborative environments, working closely with development teams to diagnose and debug issues, and you have a keen eye for identifying trends and potential risks in product performance.
In this role, you will independently drive and own the testing of various camera features across multiple platforms. You will create detailed test cases and implement test plans that assess functionality, performance, power consumption, stability, and image quality of the camera solutions. Your responsibilities will include developing automated tests and test tools specifically for mobile platforms, enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing process. You will collaborate with cross-functional QA teams and development teams to triage, diagnose, and debug issues, determining root causes and ensuring high-quality product delivery.
