SageSure is seeking an Underwriter to perform day-to-day underwriting activities and evaluate risks for insurance. This role requires strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
You have experience in underwriting and are familiar with the processes involved in evaluating risks for insurance. You understand the importance of tracking underwriting actions and ensuring timely resolutions for referrals. Your analytical skills allow you to review and summarize claim files effectively, providing insights that contribute to underwriting and product development enhancements. You are comfortable communicating with various stakeholders, including wholesalers, retail agents, and insured individuals, to ensure high-quality data and compliance with underwriting requirements.
Experience in catastrophe-exposed property insurance is a plus, as is familiarity with property inspections and loss prevention strategies. You are detail-oriented and can identify trends from inspection reports that can improve underwriting practices. Your ability to handle policy change requests and process data entry efficiently is essential for success in this role.
In this role, you will perform day-to-day underwriting activities, which include tracking underwriting actions for company referrals and making recommendations based on your evaluations. You will handle policy change requests and ensure that data entry is processed accurately. Your responsibilities will also involve reviewing property inspections for new business and renewals, assessing any liability concerns, and recommending actions based on your findings. You will monitor inspection reports for compliance and loss prevention, ensuring that all underwriting considerations are met.
Additionally, you will review and summarize the content of claim files, handling claims referrals from adjusters and assessing claim and underwriting files for potential rescission actions. Your insights will be valuable in evaluating the application of critical endorsements at the time of loss. You will communicate with various stakeholders to assure high-quality data and to explain underwriting requirements clearly.
